Waste Collection 2026

The Communauté de Communes du Pays de Bitche has published the 2026 household waste collection calendar.

In Eguelshardt

Collection takes place on Thursday, between 4am and 6pm. Put your bin out the evening before.

• Even weeks: bin with the burgundy lid (blue and green bags).
• Odd weeks: black/grey bin with the yellow sticker (recyclables, loose, no bags).

In weeks with a public holiday, collection is moved:

• Thursday 1 January → Friday 2 January;
• Thursday 9 April → Friday 10 April (Easter Monday);
• Thursday 14 May → Friday 15 May (Ascension Day);
• Thursday 28 May → Friday 29 May (Whit Monday);
• Thursday 16 July → Friday 17 July (Bastille Day);
• Thursday 12 November → Friday 13 November (Armistice Day);
• Thursday 24 December → brought forward to Wednesday 23 December (Christmas).

Recycling centres

Bitche (leaving Bitche towards Hanviller – Schorbach) and Rohrbach-lès-Bitche (Trinkwiese business park, towards Petit-Réderching).

• Summer hours (1 April to 31 October): Monday to Friday 9am-12pm and 1pm-5pm, Saturday 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm.
• Winter hours (1 November to 31 March): Monday 1pm-5pm, Tuesday to Friday 9am-12pm and 1pm-5pm, Saturday 9am-12pm and 1pm-4pm.
• Closed on public holidays.

Multiflux bag distribution

During the September-October 2026 round, the Sydem'Tour came to Eguelshardt on Friday 18 September 2026 from 4:30pm to 7pm, in the church car park. Batteries, small batteries, glasses and silver-based X-rays can also be dropped off at these sessions.
