NEW SCHOOL YEAR 2022/2023

On 1 September the children went back to school. Our school has 56 pupils this year.

Mrs Kiffer, the nursery teacher, with the help of Isabelle, our ATSEM (nursery assistant), welcomes 21 little ones.

Mrs Burgun is in charge of the CP and CE1 classes, with 16 pupils. Finally, Mrs Clauss teaches the older children from CE2 to CM2.

Have a good school year, everyone!

PAPER AND CARDBOARD SKIP

The paper and cardboard collection carried out on the first weekend of April 2022 enabled the parents' association to raise 144 euros for the children of our school. A big thank you to everyone for taking part!

This collection will be repeated on 15 January 2023; you can already start putting your paper and cardboard aside to fill our next skip. If you have problems with storage, you can contact the Town Hall, which will make a room available. Thank you in advance for your participation. The APE also informs you that its General Meeting will take place on 23 September 2022 at 6:30 pm in the after-school area of the village hall. It will be pleased to welcome anyone interested.

APPEAL FOR DONATIONS

We are looking for laptops for the school, to carry out projects and to teach pupils how to use computer tools. If you have an unused laptop, you can donate it by contacting the Town Hall directly. The school will be delighted to let the children benefit from it.

DISTRIBUTION OF SYDEME BAGS

Multi-stream bags will be distributed on 26 September 2022 from 4:30 pm to 7:15 pm on the church square.

Don't forget to bring your Sydem card. If you are unable to attend, you can give your Sydem-pass to someone you trust, who can collect your bags for you.

MAKING WALDECK SAFE

Hikers will once again be able to enjoy the exceptional panoramic view from the top of the Waldeck Castle ruins, after the path had been closed for two years for safety reasons. A footbridge with stairs and new railings has recently been installed over the trench that was considered dangerous.

WEDDINGS

This summer the mayor had the pleasure of celebrating three weddings.

  • On 23 July Stein Aurélie married Julien Duhamel
  • On 13 August Sandra Schmitt married Schaeffer Nicolas
  • On 27 August 2022 Célia Schreiner married Samuel Neu

Our sincere congratulations to all!
