FEEDING A STRAY CAT: WHAT THE LAW SAYS

Article 120 of the Departmental Health Regulations (RSD) prohibits feeding stray cats on public roads, including in the common areas of buildings, private roads and courtyards where this may disturb neighbours or attract rodents. Some streets in our municipality are experiencing an invasion of stray cats, and as their number grows this is causing damage. As you will have understood, feeding a stray cat is not in the interest of animal welfare, as it encourages breeding and potentially euthanasia.
